Aging in Play × PlayBox
Aging in Play × PlayBox is a design-led system that explores how play can support physical, cognitive, and social well-being as people age. Grounded in research, community engagement, and co-creation, the project reframes play as everyday infrastructure that supports movement, connection, and dignity rather than momentary entertainment.
PlayBox serves as the core product within the Aging in Play system: a modular, community-powered play toolkit designed for older adults. It translates research insights into low-barrier, adaptable game experiences that can be easily facilitated in community centers and shared spaces. Through standardized components, clear visual language, and flexible rules, the system supports diverse abilities while enabling scalability and long-term community ownership.
